Comment:

 Beacons serve no useful purpose currently, and even in future the
 discovery and security functions can be served by probe request/response
 equally well. We had discussions with Michail on enabling beacon
 transmissions for the reasons mentioned above. But in the interest of
 saving current consumption on the device, we would recommend disabling
 beacons.

 We will make this fix in the next firmware drop. Please update this ticket
 if anyone disagrees with this.
