Comment:

 There is a misunderstanding here. I'm talking about recognizing and
 extracting metadata from documents other than the built-in TXT, PDF, DOC,
 and ODT. For example, it would be simple to extract a preview image from a
 downloaded etoys.pr file, provided the Etoys bundle can provide a
 converter plugin for the datastore.
