Comment:

 The keep works... but it doesn't seem like the right model for a longer
 term. Once I have started creating my own variation or my own python
 program; then the items on the left should not be available because if you
 click one it overwrites what you are working on.

 One idea might be that clicking on one of these 'examples' opens a new
 window (a new instance of pippy?). I don't think this is really the right
 answer, but something that would let you cut and paste from an example
 into your own program would be good.

 I'm moving this to v1.1 to explore the longer term solution.
