 Marco,

 Are you saying I should stop the boot sequence and log in as root, or that
 I should use "su" in the developer console?  If it's the former, I do not
 know how to interrupt the boot sequence to log in with a different user
 other than "olpc".

 Anyway, let me get this clear, what you wish me to test is the volume
 control in the browser plugin, right?  So, what I need to do is reset it
 to default by killing the configuration file (through the move command)?
