Comment:

 Actually, it may or may not be an issue (someday).  Right now, we can't
 use the LUT for gamma correction.

 When we revisit the kernel driver for DRM (no, not that DRM! The Direct
 Rendering Module), we may revisit this.

 But it's definitely a someday thing, not on our current roadmap.
