Comment:

 As Tomeu mentions, this is not a bug but a side effect of the complete
 lack of versions at present.  The Journal metaphor was designed from the
 ground up to depend upon proper versioning, and without it there are a few
 gaping holes holes in the logic.  We'll have it by 1.0, though, so I'm
 closing this ticket.
