 I note the links on the sidebar have a fixed color, unlike wikipedia for
 example.

 Otherwise... basically I think anything we do which differs from Wikipedia
 unquestionably decreases user familiarity and thus increases the barrier
 to entry.  Whether that's a significant hit, and whether "but it's
 prettier" can fully compensate for it, seems unclear to me.  I suspect
 yes, and no, but the opposite perspective seems to me at least plausible.

 I'd suggest also making the sidebar links of familiar and changing color.
 It helps the new visitor keep track of what they have seen.  But other
 than that, my concerns appear to have been addressed.
