Currently, when you use the incremental upgrades described in #2517,
Rainbow will delete all boot trees except for the one you're running from
because it doesn't have any information about which ones to keep and
because wants to be very sure that there will be enough space to download
a new tree.
However, a better policy would be to maintain a list of "sticky" trees
that should not be automatically garbage-collected. Then it would be
reasonable to use the updater to "prepare" a given XO with several boot
images for different occasions: one for development, one for the latest
image, and one for demos, for example.
