 I see 2 related problems with the focus in the Journal:

  1. When the list has focus, pressing ''up'' one too many times passes
 focus to the popup controls in the toolbar.  This is completely non-
 intuitive, and has the effect of immediately changing the filter, which
 can result in fewer or no entries accidentally, appearing like a
 glitch/crash.  The list should not let focus pass out of itself with the
 arrow keys.

 2. After selecting a filter, the only way that I can find to pass focus
 back to the list for scrolling via arrow keys is by pressing ''tab.''  I
 think we may want to auto-focus the list view after a filter selection is
 made, as I have many many times found myself trying to scroll through my
 new results list only to accidentally change the still selected filter
 instead.

 The fix proposed for (2) brings up one further issue, which is reassigning
 focus to the toolbar (in particular the filters) again via the keyboard,
 which isn't currently possible.  See ticket #3770 for details.
