 The Xv test application is this:
 http://dev.laptop.org/~jcrouse/xvtest-20070518.tar.gz

 Its a C/Xlib based app that uses Xv to show a YUV picture of the always
 pretty Laren Bacall.  Its a good test because it only depends on itself.
 DCBW can show you how it works.
