 I'm not sure how to go about handling this.  We discussed the potential
 need for small amounts of "activity preferences" and the consensus seemed
 to be that we should avoid them completely.  It's possible that we can't
 actually ignore them completely, in which case we need a whole new way to
 manage activity preferences.

 If we do steer clear of them, perhaps this is actually something we could
 set up as a global preference for the machine in accessibility control
 panel. what thoughts do others have about this?
