 Barry and Nicolas talked and decided they'd like to have the second,
 shorter, U2 sound play once sugar is ready to go.  Thus you could power
 on, walk away, and hear the sound and know that your computer is ready.

 I'd suggest that the sound should be started at the same place in the
 sugar startup sequence where the DCON is unfrozen.
