 I believe the mesh channel indicators may leave the iconic space
 altogether once a toolbar is in place (though perhaps not). In any case,
 they would be much more readable in the time being if the font size were
 reduced so that there was some padding between the numbers and the border
 of the badge.

 Right now we've almost got those "negative space" tricks going on.
