 We should keep the problem narrow: we're not talking about sharing files
 with non-XOs at the moment, just among XOs.  The backed-up journal gets
 sent to the schoolserver, where it is exported via http.  If you click on
 the file, it will get (re)downloaded to the journal, where the usual
 programs should be able to open it.

 I think I agree with marco's suggestion above: if this can't be
 implemented cleanly, we should get a separate journal implementation that
 runs on the school server that directly exports the files using the
 journal's native file formats, presumably in read-only mode.  This would
 shift the problem from XO software to school server software, and our
 deadlines are less tight for schoolserver software.
