 Today erikos (Simon) told me on IRC that he has also seen the bug when he
 updated to OS588, while still running Q2C25.

 And I'm damn sure I could trigger the bug off by just replacing the
 firmware (smithbone was with me).

 So: it's triggered by a *combination* of OS and EC?

 Simon, could you read the last 3-4 comments and confirm whether the
 symptoms resamble philipmac's description or mine?

 And don't you dare coming up with yet another different behavior!
