 Carla - As an immediate temporary solution, have you tried using one of
 the download managers that allow automatic resume of failed downloads? I'm
 a GNU/Linux command line guy and so tend to use [http://lftp.yar.ru/ lftp]
 or [http://aria2.sourceforge.net/ aria2], but there are also plenty of GUI
 applications that do this.
