Comment(by MitchellNCharity):

 I think I got that wrong: The new TamTamJam appears to be optimized for
 greater _experience_ (rather than age). The old TamTam's challenge of
 "manage to move the mouse, and to click on a visible and attractive
 target, one which provides an immediate positive reinforcement sound" was
 a good "just at the edge of being possible and fun" level of difficulty
 for inexperienced adults, as well. Demo fodder. Inexperienced adults
 don't trigger the bug only because they tend to peck keys (not even
 chord), rather than mash.

 So my observation, wrt the new interface, should have been: in so far as
 this is a bug of inexperience ("mashing breaks things"), and the new Jam
 interface, by having more of a learning curve, reduces inexperienced use,
 then this bug may now be a "doesn't matter" rather than a "big frequent
 blocker-ish problem".
