 I put some .xo files on my usb stick to test the journal's ability to open
 them. After inserting the usb stick, the journal mounted it properly and
 showed me all the files. I clicked on the XO file and the whole screen
 immediately turned grey with no images at all, just the mouse arrow in the
 middle.

 The mouse is reponsive but I can't get back to the journal entries no
 matter what I do (alt-c, ctl-c, esc). I can change to the mesh view and
 the home view; but no more journal.

 I waited at least 4-5 minutes to see if it was actually trying to load
 this file or something... but nothing has changed.
