 The patch I just attached implements a do_size_request function that also
 handles setting the correct width in the primary state. In there it is
 trivial to add a minimum width and height. Note that I commented out
 setting a minimum height, because it looks ugly right now in my opinion.

 This patch also addresses ticket #3497 which is fixed by it.
