 In build 581, the following steps repeatably result in the freespace wedge
 of the ring being white/selected.

 Start 'News Reader'.  Click on 'Earth Science PoD'.  Click on a "Full
 entry" entry link.  This starts Browse.  Click on the PoD page's image.
 Select home view.  The freespace wedge appears selected.

 With freespace thus selected:
 Pressing the activity key goes to the currently running activity.
 Pressing Alt-C changes the selection to a real activity wedge.
