Comment(by smcv):
Dan summed up my feelings about this bug. We're already way past the time
to be adding features, and having "objects" in Presence Service as, um,
first-class objects on the same level as buddies and activities would be a
major and disruptive feature to add.
If/when we add this, can we '''please''' have a different name, at least
for API and internal documentation purposes? I assume you deliberately
don't want to talk about "files", otherwise you'd be doing so, but
"object" is widely understood in object-oriented programming to be, well,
an object. For instance, "Object" is already both a technical term and a
class name in D-Bus, and the "object" type in Python is the base class of
all classes. Calling them journal objects, journal entries, datastore
objects, datastore entries, saved activities, projects, artefacts, things,
or just about anything a thesaurus would turn up for "object" would be
better.
