Comment:

 So currently we only support IMAPS (secure/ssl IMAP) for laptop.org. Could
 you try describing why you think you need pop3 access in more detail? I
 think we are hitting a bit of an english barrier (or my lack of
 understanding of how the OLPC laptops get email) with "because they have a
 special protocol to rescue them from my laptop".
