 I typed ps aux and datastore-service was running.  You didn't tell me to
 kill it specifically but I did anyway so I could do the later commands.  I
 then ran datastore-service and all it told me was "2007-09-13 10:54:23,292
 INFO: Starting Datastore /home/olpc/.sugar/default/datastore"

 The journal is still not working.
