 Both of these comments are accurate and match the original spec.  We just
 didn't have time to get it quite right by trial 3.  Lets try: minutes,
 hours, days, weeks and days, months and weeks, years and months.  This is,
 we never get more granularity than the day unless it's today, and never
 more granularity than the "unit" below the greatest one.  I'm not even
 sure we ever need to have more than the highest order unit, but we'll see.

 We should also special case many of the "one unit ago" cases, such as
 yesterday, last week, last month, last year.

 In any case, this field should expand to fit the date as necessary.
