 Well, the ideal way would probably be to use a multiline gtk.Label. I
 guess unless someone really needs some textview specific feature there is
 no point in doing this.
 I think EdsipeR said that a label might not have enough features.

 However I don't think it is feasible to modify GTK+. If we need a non-
 editable textview the other way I would see is to have a non-editable
 subclass and just use a gtk.TreeView in the normal case.
