 Well, the simple answer is that it should be the user's own XO colors.
 (That's likely the correct choice, for now.)

 The real answer is that the icon's colors were contextual to the current
 selection. If Walter wrote a paragraph in Write (assuming for the moment
 that write kept track of who wrote what), and then I select a segment of
 that paragraph, the copy button should appear in Walter's colors.
 Likewise, the clipping created when pressing the copy button would appear
 in his colors.  If the current selection were "mixed," then it would
 simply become my colors instead, since it was my selection, and that's the
 closest thing to "creator" that we can define for it.

 The most important things to keep in mind are that (1) color should be
 used as much as possible to indicate "creator" and (2) the colors of the
 copy button should match the colors of the resulting clipping.
