Comment:
Andres,
I tested out the kernel dated 10-Sep-2007 03:14.
(Ive saved this kernel in my space for reference
http://dev.laptop.org/~arjs/kernel_tested_10Sep9amEDT.rpm )
1. All the basic functionality seems perfect. Thanks for your efforts !
(VREF has been successfully decoupled from DC Mode Enable and right things
are happening at capture open and capture close too)
2. I observed that default state of DC Mode Enable seems fine at bootup.
It is switched off when I open alsamixer to see after bootup.
Though, one does see kernel error messages regarding alsa controls not
being found at boot up. Maybe J5 can comment on those..
3. If possible could you please also change the name of the V_REFOUT
kcontrol to 'Mic Bias Enable' ? I have discussed this name change already
in the mailing lists along with the other name change that we have already
implemented.
4. Once these changes start to be reflected in the OS images I am sure we
can close this ticket.
