It might be a different problem, but I was using Measure again and it just
started making a high pitched squealing noise while I was using it. The
volume up button made it louder, but the volume down one stopped working.
I pressed the home key and the screen went Grey for around 40 seconds and
then everything appeared normally on the screen. The squealing had stopped
 when I resumed measure.

     * owner changed from jg to arjs
     * component changed from distro to measure-activity
     * milestone changed from Untriaged to Trial-3

Sounds like maybe the mixer and/or speakers are engaged and there may be
 feedback.

Muting the speakers and turning off any mixing from the microphone is
probably what measure needs to do.
