 After running for a few days, with an activity up, on 542.0, my B4 stopped
 letting me call up a terminal with ctrl-alt-f2/3.  then dilinger came by
 and killed X (with ctrl-alt-backspace) and X didn't come back up (and he
 still couldn't pull up a terminal).
