 Scenario: a class of 30 is all assigned to download the same 5 megabyte
 PDF file for reading and save it in their journal.

 Our current backup strategy, nice and simple though it is, will end up
 backing up 150 megabytes of data.  Either we should recognize identical
 objects, or be aware of the source of content and that it can be reloaded
 from elsewhere.
