 I loaded this build on two laptops and gave them both nicknames with non-
 ascii characters. They could see each other in the neighborhood mesh; but
 they couldn't see all the other laptops on the jabber server.

 I did this test at home and connected to my Linksys with WEP. When I
 deleted the config and owner files, and put in a nickname with only ascii
 characters, then connected to the jabber server, I saw many XOs.

 Don't know if this is a presence service or sugar kind of bug.
