 This may or may not still be important - we're still running in 5:6:5 for
 the near future, and cairo + pixman + X 1.4 has changed so much, even if
 we did decide to move to 32 bit in the future, this would need to be re-
 run from scratch.  I think we should close this and re-evaluate later.
