 One reason for this to be done is for finding journal entries from a file
 browser. For example, paint allows the user to search through the file
 system for images to insert. If you have a picture in the journal: 1. It
 is not possible to get to it because the file browser doesn't show .
 directories. 2. Even if one were able to get to the datastore, it's not in
 a human readable form, so one still wouldn't be able to find the image
 file.

 This can be worked around by dragging the journal entry onto a usb stick,
 and finding the image file in the media/(usbstickname) directory.
