     Type: defect | Status: new
Priority: blocker | Milestone: Never Assigned
Component: kernel | Version:
 Keywords: jffs2, pdflush | Verified: 0

 Clean install of 622 on a C1. (not olpc-upgrade).

Attempted to play an MP3 by clicking on a link from Browse. Did not play,
and system slowed down *a lot*.

Investigation revealed jffs_gc_mtd0 taking up a large amount of CPU, and
then pdflush began to dominate CPU. Making eventually slowed to the point
where even shutdown was impossible (invoked shutdown from a root prompt,
and it did not manage to complete, even after 10 minutes).
