 We've discussed temperature estimates before.  It appears that the only
 available thermometers are CPU and Battery, and both are very strongly
 affected by system utilization.  It may be possible to guess air
 temperature from these two measurements, but it's a bit of a research
 project.

 I have not figured out any sensible way to incorporate Journal support.
 Currently, Acoustic Tape Measure makes a new measurement every few
 seconds.  It seemed to me that a log of these distances would be worse
 than useless, burying the desired measurements in dozens or hundreds of
 unrelated ones, all without any annotation indicating what was being
 measured, or where.  Instead, I imagine that students will place the
 laptops in the desired positions, get the distance, and copy-paste it into
 a Write or Calculate instance.  (The number field is selectable).

 I am now trying to understand the desired workflow for Pootle.
