Comment:

I need root or user/sudo access to this machine.

mbletsas at laptop.org - I am correct in remembering that we can't really get
additional MIT TSM accounts beyond pedal and crank due to our
 grandfathered status, right?

cjb - for other systems I'm rsyncing to pedal nightly, and then getting
that backed up with TSM. Currently we have about 400GB free on pedal for
this purpose. How much disk in use does learn have? If it is a significant
portion of the available space I'll look into using NFSv4 (with security,
read-only) to export learn's filesystems to pedal. I could also try sshfs,
but my guess is that it will fall over.
