 The public IP can provide an approximate physical location. This is
 somewhat useful. (guess at timezone, weather, etc.) It is also useful for
 dealing with abuse.

 Depending on the levels of NAT in use, the private IP can also be used to
 deal with abuse situations. If the public IPs are identical and there is
 only 1 level of NAT, you know the culprit.
