Comment:

 We have seen another of these crashes, on a C2 machine.   It crashed at
 exactly the same instruction.

 We quickly need some feedback as to whether this is felt to be hardware or
 software, although crashing at the same exact instruction implies software
 to me...

 Both machines this has happened to were running a recent kernel (compiled
 in the last week or so).  The second one was running kernel 20071022.2
