 This comment is a test.  If it gets added, the problem has been fixed.

 Event 2: Laptop unexpectedly found off. No food involved. Power button did
 nothing. Plugged in AC. No LED's lit. Power outlet confirmed live.
 Repeated unplug/plug several times. No LED's. Power button did nothing.
 Retried several times. Reset EC (AC out, battery removed for > 30 sec).
 Booted, claimed 60% battery.
