> Is allowing users to kill an activity which is starting a good idea? We
don't know what the activity is doing, if it's writing on disk or what.
Activities takes a *lot* by default to start up so user could do that
pretty often.
It's a very good idea. The user may have made a mistake.
Writing to disk is no excuse. The user could hit the power button;
activities must not corrupt themselves. Cutting power is even more harsh,
since it trips up activities which write to critical data without
performing atomic filesystem transactions. Such activities need fixing.

point just kill the icon automatically)
No. Maybe the user has installed something really slow.
