 Activities takes a *lot* by default to start up so user could do that
 pretty often.

 It's a very good idea. The user may have made a mistake.

 Writing to disk is no excuse. The user could hit the power button;
 activities must not corrupt themselves. Cutting power is even more harsh,
 since it trips up activities which write to critical data without
 performing atomic filesystem transactions. Such activities need fixing.

 No. Maybe the user has installed something really slow.
