Comment(by wad):
The best way of recreating the situation is to download and install the
school server software (build 128) on an x86 machine, equipped with a
wired network connection and one to three active antennas. A description
of how to do this and pointers to the download images are at:
http://wiki.laptop.org/go/XS_Installing_Software
That build does not have the latest firmware (19.p0), which we agreed
should be the firmware tested.
Once that is done, between five and twenty laptops should be started up.
If using a recent build, they should automatically associate with the
school server and receive their IP information from DHCP. These laptops
typically generate light network traffic --- some web traffic, some file
download, some collaborative application testing.
