 Since my last comment, I've switched to 'xset 3 3', and it is indeed a
 much better behaviour than the default.

 I lowered the threshold by one pixel, and this allows to move the cursor
 from a center area on the screen to one of the 4 corners, with just one
 move of the finger on the touchpad.
