Comment:

 Why can't the inactive instance be "deactivated" somehow instead? I don't
 think it's a good idea to break the multiple instance model, it's going to
 be really confusing ihmo. Ccing Eben.

 If you really want to do this you will have to use a modified version of
 sugar-activity. There is already a DBus service there which we use for the
 single process case, it should be easy to adapt it to present the current
 window rather than opening a new one.
