Comment:

 Right now we are only flushing the xapian index after 128 changes or on
 graceful shutdown.

 I propose setting a timer after each change so a flush happens in, say, 60
 seconds.

 If a change comes before this timer times out, we can remove the existing
 and create a new one.

 Sounds like a good plan? Should be easy to do and would give us more
 robustness against forced shutdowns.

 Perhaps for Trial3 we could just lower the threshold from 128 to 10 or 20?
