 Yeah, I agree with this assessment.  Either we should add a short
 animation that makes the XO grow larger than on the Home screen when
 zooming into the activity (and back from this larger size when leaving
 activity view), or we should simply make a hard cut to home when leaving
 an activity.

 I'd much prefer the former, but I suspect the latter is more practical in
 the interest of time.
