Comment:

 OK, how about:

  - Activation lease not found
  - Laptop reported stolen

 These seem to convey the circumstance as concisely as possible.  I think
 to avoid visual clutter I would prefer to list these in standard Sugar
 font size across the bottom edge of the screen, separated by bullets.
 Hopefully we can fit 4-5 translations there that way.  Do others think
 this would be enough? If we have to, we can resort to placing them
 centered on individual lines beneath the activation icons, but I'd rather
 not fill the screen with text.
