Comment:

 So actually the problem is that when you do save as html in write not only
 the plain text is saved.  When you save it as plain text in write change
 the ending from .txt to .html it will be interpreted as html by the
 browser. I am not so much sure someone will/should use the save as option
 in write as it is independent from the journal, correct me if I am wrong.
