Comment:

 Have been thinking a bit back and forth and inspecting the code. I agree
 that we should display the dialog in the neighborhood view. We would have
 to wait for the established connection otherwise we would have to switch
 back to the neighborhood view and display the dialog again or display it
 in the home view when failing. So once the connection is being made
 switching to home is then only an indicator that the procedure was
 successful I guess. The problem here is that we miss the show of the
 appearing buddies. Which is sad I think. We should probably just making
 clear which AP we are connected to. And for the blinking - just blink when
 actually connecting and stopping when the connection is made seems enough
 to me.
