Procedure:
put the text "local" (without quotes of course) into /etc/NetworkManager
/mesh-start. Restart the machine ~ 5 or so times. Each time, ensure that
you are connected to "Mesh Network 1" from the Home view, and optionally
verify with 'iwconfig msh0' from the Dev Console that the card is sitting
at 2.412 GHz.
Also, take the laptop home where there is _NO_ school server or XO-as-
portal, boot it, and wait for it to drop back to under-a-tree-mesh. Then
do the same check as above (Mesh Network 1, 2.412GHz).
