 If it is possible to reset the clock, then the laptops can probably be
 kept alive indefinitely. More bluntly, I'm claiming that the "long-term
 anti-theft system" feature  (i.e. the part of anti-theft that is *not*
 "first activation") currently depends on protecting PID 1 and the clock,
 both of which currently depend on protecting kernel memory and on as-yet
 unfinished containerization technology.
